I have been wanting to help people stay fit and overcome their injuries for most of my life. At a very young age I watched NFL football with my family and wanted to be one of the people that ran out on the field to help when there was an injury, and eventually I did just that. My credentials and education are unique, and I spent the first half of my career treating patients in a physical therapy clinic. I have been instructing and designing exercise programs for over 3 decades. Growing up I was active in sports and dance, and I had the amazing experience of being a collegiate athlete. I have also experienced the downside of a not at fault head-on car accident and had to overcome severe injuries. After that experience I truly realized how important staying active and being healthy would be in my life.
I specialize in working with clients with a history of orthopedic injuries such as knee and hip pain, joint replacements, low back pain, shoulder and foot pain as well as continued guidance after completion of physical therapy. I also specialize in strength training for clients over 50.
During my time at the Y, it became more apparent that in pursuit of an overall healthy lifestyle exercise is not the only component. I became certified with additional credentials to be able to help others with all facets of wellness including nutrition, sleep, stress, mindset and healthy habits.
I not only want to help clients with their fitness goals, but with their overall wellness goals in creating those healthy habits and maintaining them to create that overall healthier lifestyle. Every person has their own unique history and goals, and it’s important to figure out what works for you.
