Brook Gullickson

Brook Gullickson

After receiving my degree in Sports Medicine and Physical Education, I became certified as an athletic trainer and have worked in the physical therapy/sports medicine field for over 25 years. Although there are many duties and skills performed in this profession, exercise instruction has been the most important component of my career. Rehabilitation, basic daily activities, competitive sports and recreation are all guided and improved by exercise. Good overall health and fitness makes every facet of life more enjoyable. Growing up my athletic focus was dancing and swimming in which I competed from age 5 through college. During my collegiate years, I was also in a head-on car accident and had to overcome my own injuries. This has made me see how crucial exercise can be from both ends of the spectrum. Knowing that we all move and function differently and have our own unique history of aches and pains is key to individualizing workouts, as well as teaching proper techniques. Making time for some form of exercise every day can be one of the best decisions anyone can make. If you are just starting an exercise program, continuing a program after major orthopedic surgery, or an experienced exerciser wanting to try something new, I am here to help.
