My approach to fitness may look different than others. It stems from personal experience as a multi-sport athlete for 8+ years, losing myself in motherhood & struggling with the obesity that ensued, achieving significant & sustainable weight loss after my 3rd child and enduring many surgical recoveries that yo-yoed the weight back on/off since. I'm proficient in learning to adapt and overcome, which is WHY I'm great at providing exercise modifications as needed! Trust me. I get it! I truly do understand where you're coming from. So, let me help.
For all my clients, I create a personalized exercise program specific to their current physical ability; meeting them where they're at, without judgment or assumptions. I choose to focus on complete, whole body wellness and my training style is as unique as each client's specific physical condition, limitations and challenges they may face. Every program I design has no/low-impact weighted cardio for cardiovascular health & muscular endurance, strength-focused resistance training for maintaining or increasing muscle mass and all of which is achieved safely with gradual progressive overload.
We will always work on balance & coordination for fall-prevention and do a mix of static, active and dynamic stretching for improving overall flexibility. I can offer nutritional guidance, if eating healthier is also part of your fitness goal! Everyone may not want help with both diet and exercise, but as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach & Weight Loss Specialist I do have the knowledge to help you in each aspect of your overall health & wellness path.
I train my clients to become self-sufficient in the gym. I want you to become confident in using a wide variety of exercise modalities, in all areas of our gym facility as well as teaching exercises that can be done at home or when you travel. My goal is to share my expertise and guide you into being able to carry on without me (at some point) so that you're not only exercising when we're together. I want YOU to believe in YOU and your amazing capabilities, not just focusing on the struggles. As your trainer, know that I will always be in your corner. I'm here to help you feel better, stronger, fully supported and guide you towards a healthier, more active lifestyle!
